opensuse 11 wireless fails to resume after suspend

I have opensuse 11 installed on a hp pavilion dv6707us laptop-with a atheros ar5007eg network/wireless card. I can get the wireless working with either ndiswrapper or madwifi. I also have ubuntu 7.10 installed. Most of the little fussy stuff like speaker switching with headphones just works in opensuse so I would like to use it on this laptop but I cannot get madwifi to restart after suspend.

At the opensuse forums I was directed to this page and the "Power Management and Madwifi" section/script. I did make the file executable-just checked it again-and it's in /etc/pm/power.d directory named "60madwifi" When I open the laptop lid-resume from suspend wifi is dead and I can't get it back unless I reboot. Can anyone here offer any ideas?
