OpenSuSE 10 and Sane/XSane...

I really like the open source version of SuSE except for the fact that my scanner is dead in the water (no support)...I've been trying to figure out what I need to get my Epson Perfection 2480 working within SuSE10. From what I have read it seems pretty straight forward...1) install Sane....2) install xsane...3) configure Sane for scanning.

Am I missing something...? Please advise.

Go into yast, hardware, scanners, and set up the scanner.

Well you said you configured sane for scanning, but you failed to mention how you went about doing that.

Have you tried installing iscan?

Iscan is specifically for epson scanners.

In Yast did you select your Epson scanner, and model
