OpenS 10.3 KMail can't send but Evolution can, why?

Hi

I have this really weird problem.
KMail is configured exactly like Evolution but while Evolution sends
and all works. KMail recieves but it doesn't send out, just put them
in the outbox.

I've seen this problem described elsewhere but I haven't found a
working solution. I really like KMail and it has always worked before
but this time it just sits there on the mail and refuses to send them.

I have the same exact configuration for Thunderbird in Vista and XP
which means I know all the ports, usernames and so on and they work.

Is there a solution to KMail somewhere? I can't see where it's wrong.

Hi Jourdin,
i remember having problems with kmail because i didn't set up a default identity in the program itself.
If you go in "Settings" > "Configure Kmail" > "Manage identities", what can you see in there?

Hi,

Check this setting: Settings-Configure KMail-Accounts-Sending-Default Send Method. There should be "Send Now", not "Send Later".

To experience less inconveniences, I've added the button "Send Queued Messages" on the Toolbar.

I have a master identity, basically empty aside main email-address. The return email-address to my main. I have 3 accounts for the three different mailaddys. There is a default send. It is set to send now.
I have repeatedly used the rightclick menu to send queued messages.

All are set to defaults.

Does that help you figure it out?
