Open Office 2.3 Clip Board error when pasting Text (Suse 10.3)

Hi Guys

Am really trying to get rid of the big Redmond 'W' once and for all. I'm still using a Virtual Machine for M$ Office and Photoshop.

I'm really trying to get away from M$ Office but have a major snag with Open Office.

If I copy some text from a website and then attempt to paste it into a Text / Open Office document it errors out with Clipboard Format not available.

A Show stopper here

Any fixes.

Cheers

-K

Can you be more specific? Are you running OOo inside or outside the VM? Do you past from the VM to a writer document inside or outside the VM? Does the error also occur choosing for pasting unformatted text? Does the error occur with all browsers? Different sites? Different sources of (un)formatted text? Most recent or what OOo version?

Hi there.
OO is on the SUSE Host. The M$ stuff is on a Windows VM running XP under VMWARE.

I'd down a lot of updates including a Kernel update. The problem was happening both with Konqueror and Firefox.

I decided to re-install OO again and now it works fine.

There must have been some regression when applying so many fixes etc.

Thanks.

Once I've got all the updates etc I hope to stay with 10.3 for a LONG time as it seems the most hardware compatable version yet that I've had to use on a variety of Laptops.

However before I finally get rid of Windows I need to make sure everything not only works, but is robust enough for daily work AND USER PROOF (or at least more user proof than Windows).

Cheers
