Talking One track mind

Strangest thing, my laptop running SuSE 9.2 has a one track mind. For some reason when I try to connect to a specific wireless network SuSE randomly picks one wireless network and won't switch. Right now I'm at a coffee shop (in Windows so I can access the internet) and when I try to connect wirelessly in SuSE it tries to connect to the ONLY secure network in the area.

I've set it up and reconfigured it numerous times through YaST in an attempt to get it to connect to the wireless router I choose but to no avail. The same thing happens at home when I try to connect to my secure wireless router. I put in all the correct info but SuSE still insists on connecting to one of my neighbors' unsecure wireless router.

How might I fix this?

Specs:
Windows XP Pro SP2/SuSE 9.2 Pro
Uniwill 258kA0 based laptop
Prism 2.5 PCI wireless b/g card
ATI Radeon Mobility 9600 128MB
512MB RAM
AMD Athalon 64 1800+MHz

I don't have an answer for you, but same thing with SuSE 9.3, it doesn't even save the last wireless AP name let alone the WEP key needed to connect, which I have to enter over and over again. The KInternet tool makes switching from the seeming random AP it picks to mine fairly easy though. Just right click applet icon on kmenu bar, wireless connect menu item, scan for wireless networks tab, then pick AP name/ESSID from the list and click connect button.

Would just be nice not to have to do that EVERY FRACKIN' TIME.
