Unhappy No virtual consoles without login in KDE first!!!

Hi guys
I have a very very strange problem with my 9.2 Suse

My Hardware Configuration :
M/B Shuttle Nforce, Cpu AMD64/3200, 512 ram, 2 lan cards, 2 hard disks
Software:
SuSE 9.2 Proffecional/64 Bit

I have installed in the past all SuSE version from 7.2 up to 9.0 to many Pc's
and i have never a problem like this

My installation went very good without any problem but when the system boot at runlevel 5 (KDE) and waits for the login the combination of Ctrl+Alt+F1-F6 does not work at all. If i press Ctrl+Alt+Del my keyboards responds ok.
End now the strange part
If i login in KDE the Ctrl+Alt+F1-F6 opens the virtual consoles in a snap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When i logoff the key combination does not work any more!!!!

I tried a second install in my notebook (also with AMD64) and the virtual consoles open correctly (without login first)

i cross examined the configuration files but i did not find any difference
I email support@suse a week ago but NO ANSWER YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas???

Thanks Takis
