[SOLVED] NIC stops working after first reboot
Hi. I'm running SLES 10 on a computer with an ASUS P5B-V mainboard. The integrated NIC is a Marvell Yukon 88E8001.
When I install the system, everything works fine. I can successfully test the internet connection. The NIC still works when I log on to the system directly after the installation. But after I reboot the computer the NIC stops working.
In the logs I see that the DHPC-client times out trying to get an address (I've verified that the DHPC-server is working). I've tried bringing the network down and up again. Both using /etc/rc.d/network and ifconfig. I've tried setting a static IP-address. Nothing works. The LED on the RJ45-connector on the mainboard doesn't light up. If I run lsmod I see that the sk98lin module is loaded. I've even upgraded the BIOS.
I'm at my wits end here. Does anybody have an idea what else I can try?
