Move Suse installation to new drive

Has anyone ever copied an installation of Suse from one harddrive to another? I have a dual boot setup with Suse 10.0 and XP on a 20 gig hd, and I just purchased another 60 gig hd. I would like to move my whole installation from the 20 gig to the 60 gig, leaving XP alone. Any suggestions? I tried to just re-install the OS on the other drive, but after a few days of building all the software I have on there, and issues with compiling, I think it would be easier to just use dd.exe or something to image the hd and then copy it to the new one, and then erase the XP partition on the 60 gig. Plus I think the wife will shoot me if I spend another day working on this beater pc.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

it shouldn't be too hard....

Basically you just need to move the data to the second disk (after partitioning and making an fs). However, then you're boot loader won't work and your /etc/fstab will be all wrong.

so something like knoppix would help, so that you can repoint the entries in /etc/fstab to /dev/hdb??? rather than /dev/hda??.

you will also then want to 'chroot' to where knoppix (or whatever. DSL?) mounts your new suse partition and reinstall a boot loader. well, that's how i tend to do it.

so put your new drive in. copy everything across, edit /etc/fstab, reinstall boot loader.
