Minor Suse 9.3 install problem
I put in the SUSE 9.3 DVD and boot off of it. When it tries to start X the resolution is too high! After I edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and fix what I need to, how do I start the install process again?
Thanks!

You edited the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file during the install? What happened after it was installed? Did it go back to the too-high resolution? I would advise just finishing the installation process, then editing /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

I can't get to the install process because X won't run properly!

...so my monitor light starts blinking, I hit ctrl+alt+F1 and log in. From there I disable 1280x1024 resolution and HUP the X process.

Not sure if this will help, but if you're on a laptop try passing "vga=771" at the boot up.

I resolved the problem. I just thought that I could perform an install with the Live version. I didn't realize that it is un-installable (is that a word?).
