Lost USB devices SUSE 10.2
My Canon LIDE 25 scanner suddenly stopped working with xsane and Kooka. An error window tells me there is no device available.
Invoking lsusb produces no results either with the scanner or with other usb devices.
But when I disconnect the scanner and plug it back in the system log shows...
Jun 1 05:13:24 linux-d0ew kernel: usb 1-2: USB disconnect, address 2
Jun 1 05:13:29 linux-d0ew kernel: usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3
Jun 1 05:13:29 linux-d0ew kernel: usb 1-2: new device found, idVendor=04a9, idProduct=2220
Jun 1 05:13:29 linux-d0ew kernel: usb 1-2: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
Jun 1 05:13:29 linux-d0ew kernel: usb 1-2: Product: CanoScan
Jun 1 05:13:29 linux-d0ew kernel: usb 1-2: Manufacturer: Canon
Jun 1 05:13:29 linux-d0ew kernel: usb 1-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Re-invoking lsusb again produces zero output. Yast hardware scan shows the scanner.
The only recent changes I have made are online updates.
Everything works fine under Windows XP.
