I am running SuSE9.1

I had Kopete working till earlier today, then i started having problems connecting to the Yahoo account. So checked for upgrades with Yast and it showed a newer version. I upgraded my existing version, now it wont launch.

Just the hourglass icon shows then disappears.

I have tried to launch from Konsole and this is the error i am getting.

kopete: ERROR: Communication problem with kopete, it probably crashed.


I have searched on the various forums but could not find any answers.

I have tried installing Gaim with no luck, too many dependencies. I dont like to force install until i can get more familiar with Linux.

Have to reinstall KDElibs3 package, that solves the problem.

Hope it works for you also. I have actually gone to Gnome now and Gaim is working really great.
