kdesu gives incorrect password error with correct password.

when i run somthing graphical that needs root privliges i woudl normally getr a kdesu prompt box pop up asking for my root password.
eg if i start YAST from the K menu

however when i enter my root paswrd it tells me that it is incorrect when i know that i entered it correctly. (yes i have chesked stupid things like caps lock)

i changed my root password hoping taht thsis would resyncronise things but still get teh same error.

currently every time i need to do anthing as root i have to call it from a command line where i can su - without problembs.
this can be hard where you are calling somthing with several lines of arguments.

anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I had the same problem. never got it fixed, but it was time for me to upgrade, so a clean install fixed it.
