Unhappy kde open/save dialogs consume 50% CPU...

hi, i'm running suse 10.1... it's great, as long as i don't need to open or save file... every time such dialog opens, my cpu usage goes up, the app which requested the dialog is hanged for 20-40 secs, then everything goes a s nothing ever happened. it's really annoying...

anyone has a suggestion???

thx
