Kaffeine 0.8.7 Can't Play DVD's Even Though Xine-ui Can

I just noticed that Kaffeine does not play DVD movies and reports an error message indicated that Xine has a reduced ability to play movies. Even though Kaffeine gives this error, Xine-ui plays DVD's just fine. Some recent update seems to have caused this problem. I have SuSE 11.0 64 bit loaded. Can anyone send me in the right direction for Kaffeine issues in playing DVD's and how it determines the abilities that Xine really has.

I have had the same problem. Kaffeine did not play any (not even commercial) DVD. So I googled a little bit and found what was the right solution.

First in YAST2>System>Repositories, I deleted ALL repos and left/installed OSS, NON OSS, Update and Packman repositories.

Then I deleted ALL SUSE packages (Kaffeine, xine-ui, xine-lib, libdvdcss2). Then again I install the same but from Packman repo. Now I can play all DVDs-commercial and others.
