Hi, I have just switched over to Suse 9.3 from Mandrake (and Ubuntu) and I can't get my Ipod mini to work. After installation it saw my ipod after I connected it to a USB2 plug but I couldn't see anything in it with Konquerer. I read somewhere that it needs to be formatted in windows with the Apple utility so I did that and then rebooted into Suse and tried again. Now Suse won't even mount or show an icon in My Computer for my ipod. Any help would be appreciated as I would hate to have to log out of Suse and back into windows just to update the ipod.
Have a look at the output of dmesg just after you plugged in the iPOD (wait a few seconds, then type 'dmesg'). This will help us to understand what's wrong.
Actually it shouldn't have been necessary to re-format the iPOD for Linux. Linux should be able to deal with HFS+, the MAC filesystem.
