suse provides all the components for ipw3945 since 10.1
Use yast and install drivers, configure it and it works

by the way this:
eee80211 version git-1.1.13
is quite old (and incompatible with the kernel) currently you can install ieee802111 ver 1.2.16

I found with 10.1 it did install that card as default but you needed to install a wireless daemon to get it to work. If you follow what the second guy down says in this thread it will work:-

http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/sus...s-3945abg.html

But i found with 10.2 i didn't need to do that because suse 10.2 installed and initialised that card straight out of the box, i didn't have to do anything so i'm not sure why it isn't working for you?

The only time i've found it to stop working in 10.2 was when i joined my laptop to a windows domain.

install using Yast or any other PM:
kernel sources (in sync with your kernel! = exactly the same version number)
ipw-firmware
microcode_ctl
wireless tools (specific for your kernel)
wlan-kmp (specific for your kernel)
wpa_supplicant
wpa_supplicant_gui
ipw3945
ipw3945d
ipw3945-ucode

ieee80211 is installed already

restart network/or computer configure wireless. Useful tools:
wifi-radar (also available from yast)

I hope this will help
