I'm trying to get Acronis installed on my Suse 9.3 box (from 1and1.co.uk) but I've run into a problem. The SnapAPI module needs to be built manually but I can't seem to find the right things to put into the dkms command line. Could someone point me in the right direction.
The command line is this :
Code:
dkms build -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.10 --config <CONFIG_FILE> --arch i686 --kernelsourcedir /usr/src/linux
I'm stuck on the config file. The manual says this for this :
<CONFIG_FILE> is your kernel config filename. Usually
this file may be found in /boot directory.
My /boot directory contains 4 files :
Code:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 29824 Apr 27 2006 config-2.6.16-rc6-060427a
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 32322 Dec 27 10:45 config-2.6.16.33-061227b
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 30253 Jul 15 2006 config-2.6.17.5-060712a
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 30302 Dec 16 08:24 config-2.6.17.8-061216a
and uname -r gives
2.6.16.33-061227b
so I used
config-2.6.16.33-061227b but I get the error
Error! The directory /lib/modules/2.6.16.33-061227b doesn't exist.
You cannot install a module onto a non-existant kernel.
Can someone give me some advise as my server is currently clean and I want this installed before I rebuild the contents.
Many thanks.
