The link is software.opensuse.org/search this link should be standard in you,re folder called opensuse
If you use it there is search option type in the search firefox or any other program you like to install , it will ask you
fore the root password some times you have to make browser small before you see this . A problem might be that you are still using 10.1 suse is now 10.3
It is also possible to do it with the one you down load from the firefox web ite Copy it to you,re home/dir
Ask fore a console type Tar xzvf firefox and so on tar.gz
You get a folder called firefox go to folder called bin there is shell script link it to you,re desktop and firefox works including all the settings you did before

all the best

Find out where you've downloaded the .tar.gz file. SU (switch user) to Root. Use Konqueror to navigate to where you've stored the file that you downloaded. Move that file to /opt (at least that is the location under SuSE Professional 9.2.) Once the file is located in /opt, open a terminal and navigate to that directory. Type the following command: tar -xvzf firefox-2.0.0.14.tar.gz Then exit the terminal, return to the user account, and run firefox. i don't know for certain but you may have to change the attributes of the Firefox icon on the desktop. i had to do that once, but never again.
