incorrect resolution after installing nvidia driver on Suse 10.1

Hi all,

I just installed the nvidia driver via Yast following the instructions from the nvidia-website. After using "sax2 -r" and configuring my resolution to 1280x800 and the screen diagonal to 15.4 inches (aspect ratio 16:10) I get a smaller resolution than I had before when I used the default "nv"-driver. This is obvious since everything is displayed bigger now. I notice, that using "sax2" the screen size is not actually changed. It remains at 15 inches, and always when I change it to 15.4 inches and clicking "OK", I find the value 15 inches again when reopening the dialog. The screen is used completely by the picture (no black spaces) - so obviously the resolution must be lower when it is calibrated to 15 inches instead of 15.4.
How can I fix this?

Best,
Mat

My laptop is Son Vaio VGN-FE11M.
I use Suse Linux 10.1.
Here is the output of "/etc/X11/XF86Config":

Maybe the problem is just that the size of fonts is displayed differently. I have set them to smaller and it looks better now.

Best,
Mat
