The problem, though, is that the checksums that I generated on the 5 ISOs I have do not match the numbers you gave me. ISOs 2 - 5 are good after the burn to CD. The 1st disc is the only one that doesn't come up right. This is according to the media check within the install.

I'm going to reburn and see if that helps. If not, I'll assume my ISO for that first disc is bad and redownload.

Well, there must have been a problem with the first disc when I initially burned it. The second time I burned it, things worked better. So I installed SUSE 10.0 OSS tonight. I had the RC1 working prior, and I've been very happy with it. 10.0 OSS official should prove to be just as easy, I think. Maybe this will be the distro that finally brings me over to Linux full time. But I doubt it.

Mandrake got me here....SuSE kept me. I've been fulltime linux for several months now. If SuSE 10 proves to be better than 9.3....I'm definitely not leaving.
