What is your ethernet controller?

It came up as Realtek RTL 8139/8109.

I've also found that for best results when using wireless is to shutdown eth0 with the command ifdown -eth0

L2000 Pavilion Wireless IS Working!!

I have tried installing Mandriva and Mandrake on laptops and have NEVER been able to get PCMCIA to work.
If someone has figured it out let me know. :-)

On the wireless Broadcom issue, has anyone just put a pcmcia wireless card in and had it work?

Aftermarket Wireless Cards

Anyone just give up on the L2000 Broadcom card and install another wireless card like the NetGear Dual Bands? Wondering if my time couldnt be spent on other stuff better...like Pron.
