how to lock and encrypt a folder in my home?

Hello ppl,

Now how do i do that like locking my folder and encrypting in my home?

any ideas pls let me know.

lock ur folder?

change the permisisons

use chmod

man chmod

will help

ok but im trying to lock only one folder in home folder and it should be accissible by me by issuuesing a password. Is there a utility available in linux?

as far as software is concerned i do not know about it,the permisison in Linux suffice well for our use

do want to block root user as well from ur directory
