How do I set two Internet Gateways?
Suse does't let me set 2 default gateways...
I'm facing a annoying problem. I have the following configuration:
eth2 -> Static, connected to a router (dlink) who's connected to an adsl modem
eth1 -> Static, connected directly to the internet (over a frame relay)
eth0 -> Not configured, but will be for an internal LAN
So, I need eth2 and eth1 to be connected to the internet, because I'll serve ftp, http, etc on the eth1 (which I have a static address)... But I need that the normal transfers (like downloads, web surfing, etc) goes thru eth2.
In future, I'll use the eth2 connection to serve internet to the LAN users aswell.
So, what I want is that each interface (eth1 and eth2) keeps their own Internet connection. But I can't set 2 default gateways in Suse... I tried on Yast, ifroute-ethx, route config file... Only one of the 2 gateways is active, usually the eth2 one, killing my eth1 connection, because the eth1 IP can't go thru dlink router (which is the gateway of eth2)...
On debian is easy to configure that... All I have to do is edit /etc/network/interfaces and set a gateway for each interface.
On Suse I tried:
- add the 2 gateways in /etc/sysconfig/network/rutes , but only one works...
- create 2 ifroute-ethx files in /etc/sysconfig/network , but only one works...
- Add the 2 gateways on Yast routing configuration and guess what... only one works
What I should do?
(BTW, I'm using Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1)
Thanks in advance,
PS: Sorry for the bad English
