How do I install Nvidia driver update from CD-rom

I installed SuSE 9.2 (first time with Linux) and I can't start X/KDE.
After I searched on the net, it seems that I have to update my Nvidia driver (I have a Riva TNT 2 Model 64).
Because I can't connect to Internet through SUSE i downloaded it and wrote it on CD.
Can anybody please tell me what commands I need?
I guess I'm a bit hopeless because I can't even find the cd-rom through command line...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Zacorbul

usually the nvidia drivers are installed, just not 3d enable. that is what the update is for....to enable 3d.

what errors are you seeing when you try to start x? are you using the command startx?

did you install a desktop environment when you installed SuSE?

The easiest, but not only, way is to download and edit the installer script. I have outlined the method here. (Look for the contribution by 'rad', which is me at that board.)
