How can I save my MODEM0 MTU setting???? I set it for 576 for dialup, BUT

when my computer restarts, it goes right back to 1500!!! I set the ifcong file to 576. Even when you look in YAST under the sysconfig section it shows its set for 576, why does it always go back to 1500 the next time I logon? Everytime I logon I have to go into terminal and type "ifconfig modem0 mtu 576" to put it back, even though the file says 576. Thanks!
