PPC = "Power PC" was a chip architecture developed buy IBM (and others). It was used by Apple (and others).

Debian still hosts install ISOs and full package repositories:

You may be able to find other distros at archive.org.

PPC is power PC processor as opposed to Intel x86.

The SUSE 10.3 CDs along with the 10.3 Tools CD don't seem to reproduce everything included in the SUSE 10.3 repositories so I don't think the old ISOs will be of help since the repositories are gone. Thanks for the help.

I was also able to load red hat 9 with disks I have been able to get the BSP to build. The BSP builds using LTIB.
see this comment !

If you want to develop a program for Windows in 2010, you probably wouldn't be using the Windows 95 development kit...even though it may have been a 'stable' system 14 years ago....
rh9 is even older than 10.3

update yours and have your compadre do the same .

i would suggest that you look into using CentOS 5.4
it has a LONG life , about 3 to 4 years left on the 5 version .

Old Suse repositories

I too was looking for a repository for old Suse versions (in my case 10.2), because it worked perfectly with an old laptop that I installed "windows" on for work.
Here's a link: ftp://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/op.../distribution/
It is still there today, but I suspect that the older versions will slowly disappear, so download the entire repository so that you can use it locally from DVDs or a hard drive.
PPC versions are also there, one of which i intend to install on a G3 mac for dual booting.
