What OS are you using?

theNbomr 03-18-2006 04:36 PM

Get cdrecord. Use that. I know, it doesn't have all the gui touchy-feely stuff, but it just works. If you want to really use linux, you should get used to using a command line interface occassionally.

the screenshot leaves no question...
It is called "alcohol" and it uses its own format for files to be burnt.
I don't know if it can support iso - look for such an option - it is an iso file you want to burn - right?
Nero or some other software can do that for sure - and also the LINUX command-line tool theNbomr suggested - several front ends for it avalable (graveman GnomeBaker k3b xcdroast...to name a few)

-edit-

...well - that was a bit too late now...
growisofs - if you want to use linux to burn the image to dvd

ok i think i kno my problem..i put my iso in nero and umm..it said 0kb on the iso...! ah there is my problem ok i have the suse folder with everyhting in it i need to put that into an iso..how could i do that i think that is my problem

tEh Bàsíq 03-18-2006 06:03 PM

do you need me to explain anything a little beteR?

jomen 03-18-2006 06:08 PM

no - I think if you want to burn an .iso you need to have an .iso ... alternatively you can burn all the things in the folder...to the DVD.
What do you want to use it for? Burning a DVD you can boot off to install Suse? - get the .iso

tEh Bàsíq 03-18-2006 06:32 PM

yea i have a folder with everyhting in it will it work if i burn the folder into the dvd..or do i need an iso..cuz when the do0wnload was done i extracted everything into a folder...

jomen 03-18-2006 06:44 PM

o.k. I was trying to say: the last line...
As for your question - basically: mkisofs -o isofile.iso /path/to_the/folder
This command has quite a few optins apart from that - and every frontend like nero in windows or GnomeBaker or k3b in linux will do the same thing easier - hence the hint to my last post - which was intended to be a question and an answer too.

You can download the microsoft resource toolkit: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/reskits/default.asp

and use the dvdburn.exe [drive] to burn iso images.
