having colors in C programming with vim

I have a SuSE 10.0 install and am having trouble getting colors working in my C programming. I have colors with ls and i know that there is a config file but have know idea where that is and the syntax of the file. Does anybody know where the file is, the syntax etc.? Or better yet would somebody post their config file?

OK, well i found this other thread http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=305663 I followed those directions and got it paritally working. there are colors but the colors aren't right and functions aren't green. int's are. in other words i need to change this somehow. #include is colored purple instead of cyan and everything else is standard grey.

in debian, I think it's in /usr/share/vim64/vimrc. Then I just had to uncommment the line that said something along the lines of "Turn on syntax highlighting". The log out, and log back in, and it should work.
