Dear gurus,

iam new to linux . iam trying to install SUSE linux 10 SLES. all the steps are clearly installed but. the final step- Hardware configuration step failed.in this final stage system takes more time and restarts.

Could you please:
- exactly state what hardware you are using?
- at which point exactly the problem appears?
- did you receive any kind of error message?
- what's going on after the reboot?
- Did you take out the CD from CD-drive during reboot?
- or are you running again into the setup procedure?

You should read thisthis to learn how to ask a smart question. As stated the information you provided is so spare, no one can figure out what exactly your problem will be.

Also did you check some of the available SuSE forums? If you use SLES eventually you have support by SuSE/Novell which can help you.

iam using toshiba laptop with core 2duo and 3 gb ram configuratio.

the problem appers in hardware configuration step the final step .

if i restart, iam getting "previous installation was failed..."

if i reboot again its go to the same stage hardware configuration with out CD.

yes i removed CD from the Cd Drive

no iam not runnning in the setup procedure
