GUI root not working

I have been using suse 10.1 but the problem is that its not possible to login through root in GUI mode but its possible for login gin root in text mode. When i want to login through GUI mode then it will display that Xsession disabled
But when i created user and wanted to enter GUI mode then its possible to do it.
The main thing is that this all was working fine few days back but now its showing these problems though i have not done any changes to the configuration files as i m new user to it.

It is not recommended (or necessary) to ever log in as root, as it needlessly exposes your system to security risks. If there are any GUI programs you want to run with root privileges, then it is normally recommended to log in as a normal user and use a utility like "kdesu" or "kgsu" to start the program in question.
I hope that helps.
