Grub boot loader back up?


Is there a way to back up the grub boot loader in Suse 10.2?

dd if=/dev/hda of=bootloader.bak bs=512 count=1

The dd command will copy anything in blockwise.

man dd

for more details.

the MBR resides ion teh first 512 blocks, we can backup it with dd.

I've screwed up my boot loader several times tinkering with stuff (I'm a noob).
