graphical user interface doesnt start
 

hi all
i am newbie to linux suse 10.1 i just finished installing it
but when i tried to log into it all i have is a command line
and when i try to run startx it gives me an error saying that
there is no screens founds .
also during installing in the hardware detection part it didnt detect any graphics cards .
so ehat is the problem ?
please help

Ok, boot into runlevel 3 (at the boot screen put a 3 in the option line)
Log in as root
Run sax2
Configure everything, exit
then type init 5

What happens?

i tried it and it says
no x-server is running
it will run its own server when needed

what this means?

So did sax2 ever run?

Can you post the Xorg error log? It should be in /var/log.
