gproftpd problem

I have a problem running my FTP server. I start the proftpd daemon via konsole, and it runs in the background. Then I use the GUI (gproftpd) to configure everything, such as creating an account and setting passive port ranges and stuff. When I type ftp://(either my local network IP, my external IP, or my dns hostname) on my computer, everything works fine. I can download and upload fine. Then when I try to access the FTP on other computers, including the other ones on my LAN, I get an error saying the connection could not be established. Port 20, 21, and passive port ranges are forwarded on my router, but nothing. SuSE firewall is off.
