gnome session option missing after upgrading to kde 3.4
So. I upgraded kde to the 3.4 RC using the rpms ,and it is working well. However the option to boot into gnome has disappeared from the session menu. How do I get it back?

i would assume that within KDE's control centre there will be an option to modify KDM details, adding it to there will restore it to the login screen.

well....
I can't find it. I've got : users, background, convenience etc, but nothing that gives a list of even the things I do have like xfce4, Windowmaker and the like. Is there a text file to edit somewhere? The help file mentions kdmrc, but I'm not finding that either.

Maybe you need to use another displaymanager. Have a look in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager for your default and have a try with another one (maybe xdm instead of kdm).

Does KDE 3.4 still pull the gnome.desktop file located in /opt/kde3/share/apps/kdm/sessions? Perhaps the login protocol has changed with this version.
