GNOME freezing

Hi,
I am having some problems starting up gnome. After I chaged a desktop background it froze so after finally being able to log out I was not able to log back in. Keep in mind that I am able to log into the KDE desktop just fin but I cannot log into GNOME. Anyone have some ideas? Let me know what I need to post.
thanks

Maybe you should try to delete GNOME's config files in your home directory and try then.

Code:
$cd
$rm -r .gnome*
$rm -r .gconf*
It is just an idea... Using this you will lose all of your Gnome customizations, so probably it is not best solution - it is more "generic" approach.
