gcc on opensuse 10.2


I used yast to try to install gcc but it complains about v
arious dependency issues. It conflicts with alot of the packages installed such as gnome, yast etc etc

Where did you get the gcc package?

The version on installation media should work; all dependencies satisfied from installation media. If you downloaded the latest and greatest version of gcc, then you will most likely have dependency issues.
