FTP server for SuSE 9.1 Personal?

Greetings,

I'm a newbie to Linux and just started using SuSE 9.1 Personal.
I would like to setup an FTP server. Does SuSE come with one installed already or do i need to download one? If it comes with one installed, how can i access it and set it up? If it does not come with one, what is a recommended FTP server program to use?

Thanks for your time,

*Nick*

run yast, go to the software page, and add the following as a software source media.

type: http
server: ftp-linux.cc.gatech.edu
directory: pub/suse/suse/i386/9.1
authentication: anonymous

then go back to the software page and install new software. it'll probably take awhile to build the list of available packages from the site but, when it finally finishes, you'll want to look at vsftpd and/or pure-ftpd.

that should get you started, let me know if anything else.

If I remember correctly, you only need to setup the new installation source as descibed above and then configure the TFTP server in Yast. If will ask you to install the server automatically.
