Free Suse With Mp3, Java, Macromedia Flash Player, And Adobe R. No more digging

Look at this from the Suse website! I know it's on the internet in a couple of other places but could never find the download section for it. It's an evaluation that never runs out and comes with all the paid applications.

The Evaluation edition of SUSE Linux contains some proprietary components such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, RealNetworks RealPlayer, Sun Java Runtime Environment and Macromedia Flash Player. The Evaluation edition does not time out in any way.
Download the Evaluation edition of SUSE Linux
If you prefer you can download and use the Open Source Software (OSS) edition of SUSE Linux 10.0 that includes only open source components

Here's the URl to find your closet location for the fastest download of the evaluation version.

Eval was released same time as the OSS version. No real news here.

With 10.1. eval is going to be history. The distinction between "clean" and "tainted" versions is done in future with the addon CD containing every closed source and third party soft.

Open SUSE

I got a list of repositories for third party and non-free packages and updated and got almost everything that was left out of the Open SUSE.

Still looking for a sound converter to convert music to and from mp3 formats.

Why Novell will want to stop having a evaluation version? Adobe Acrobat Reader, RealNetworks RealPlayer, Sun Java Runtime Environment and Macromedia Flash Player are not free but still are gratis.

Because its easyer that way.
Confusion between OSS, retail and Eval introduced too many dumb questions like which one to get and whats the difference... Naming just wasn't working.

Now with 10.1. you can download SUSE (no OSS or EVAL, just SUSE LINUX) on 5 cds or 1 DVD.

If you want closed source stuff, YOU CAN download an extra CD with all those other stuff or you can download them with YAST/SMART.

So all that you listed is available in the extra add-on cd (6th cd) . If you want the EVAL version you just have to download one extra cd to make your suse non-oss.
