For KDE Users -- Open Office or Koffice

Whilst Open Office is really becoming better and better is there any advantage to be gained in using Koffice if you are a KDE user -- it could be a much smaller suite.

I do still need MS office compatability and Open Office seems to work well --but looking now at removing all unnecessary stuff from my machine.

Cheers

much as I like all of the KDE suite, I much prefer OO.o as
my office suite. You can get rid of whichever you use less!

I love OO, especially the new 2.0 beta. I have used OO so much more than koffice but having said that I can think of one use for the koffice spreadsheet program (kspread?) that OO won't do. Not to bore you with details - but MS office won't do it either!

Thanks --OO it is then --I like it too --and "filching" some Fonts from "Redmond" it really can make MS office not so necessary any more --Lovely not to have to handle that "Activation cludge".

OO 2.0 Beta is great -- and I like the price even more GBP / USD / EUR or even Rubles -- 0.00 !!

I've removed Koffice --don't need it any more then.

Cheers

I like KDE, but I don't think koffice is currently as good as openoffice.
