File system question SUSE9.2
Here is what I have:
I am running Suse 9.2 on a AMD64. I one SATA drive as the root drive. I have another SATA hard drive as a nightly backup drive and I have a third removeable SATA hard drive for weekly off site backups. I have the backup drives mount /mnt/backup and /mnt/takehomebackup. The nightly backup file save to /mnt/backup/nightly. The weekly backup file save to /mn/takehomebackup/homebackup. When I run my backup script everything works fine, but the backup files are showing up on the main drive and it states that I am running out of space on the root hard drive. I have another system with the same setup running Mandrake Linux 10.1 and I don't have this file problem. thanks for the help. |
the mount commands did not work.
Make sure to - mount before backup starts - do not start backup if mount command fails - umount after backup completes it's also possible that madrake supports sata hotplug while suse doesnt. |
I have mounted the drive successfully. I am able to read and write to the drive.
The nightly backup drive mounts at start up. I don't think it is a mount issue. Just to make sure, I used KDE disk free and both drives are mounted. Is there something else I should check? thanks for the reply |
