Question File splitter 4 SuSE...

Hi ...SuSE overnoobie here...
I have downloaded a file over 700megs from a torrent site...the problem now is that i need a splitter to cut the file in 2 before transferring it to a permanent media (CD-R=700megs!)
Is there a suitable program that work under linux?

You could use the split command - type "man split" in a Console to find the syntax.
