faxing error


Afternoon all

Can Somebody assist me with the following problem i am only 1 of 5 people that i have read that wants to be able to fax from suse linux
i have installed Efax & using kdefax to send but got the following error message which i don't understand as i am new to all of this.

What did you do, exactly? Is this from the command line, then please copy (and paste) the command and the error messages both and post them here. As it is now I can't see what you did.

If this was from the GUI what (program) exactly did you start, how did you select the input (file) and the phone (fax) number.

fax error

Hi,

I'm another of those 1/5

In SuSE9.3-10.2 I've tried to get this working without any progress. It also seems difficult to find any documentation on the subject so if You'll excuse, I'ld like to surf on Your thread?

Like (perhaps) You I have installed efax and KDEfax with hylafax backgrounding and try to fax from OpenOfficeWord. It seems that it comes as long as creating a postscript file, but then it is stop!

Another one . Could you please describe in detail what you did and what you want to achieve and post the errors here? Even better would be to create a new thread, else the owner of this one might consider this highjacking .

I'm sorry to be back so late! You're right, I started a new thread under SuSE/Novell thats labelled: Problem Faxing from SuSE 10.2.

I just wrote a little outline in how to fax under SuSE 10.2 (and 10.1) in the new thread.
