Dwl-g122

I'm reading on how to install the drivers for the DWL-G122, and it keeps mentioning a Dr71WU.INF file. The only file I am finding on the included CD is a PRISMA02.inf file. Is that the same thing.

Update: It recognizes the dongle (h/w version A1) with ndiswrapper, though I can't do much of anything other than tell that it is there.

Got it working, and it's sweet! Don't know if this is the best way to do it, but here's how:
  1. use ndiswrapper to install PRIMA02.inf
  2. modprobe ndiswrapper
  3. With the Network Manager, selected default
  4. Let the Good Times Roll!

hey i am using ndiswrapper for installing driver for Dwl g122 usb network card in my suse 10.1 , AMD64 architecture.

i did following:
ndiswrapper -i dr71wu.inf
ndiswrapper -d 07d1:3c03 dr71wu
ndiswrapper -l
it displays driver installed and h/w present.
modprobe ndiswrapper

But modprobe is resulting in following errors:

module not supported by Novell, setting U taint flag.
ndiswrapper version 1.10 loaded (preempt=no,smp=yes)
loadndisdriver: load_driver(361): couldn't load driver dr71wu
ndiswrapper (check_nt_hdr:149): Windows driver is not 64-bit; bad magic: 010B
ndiswrapper (load_sys_files:213): couldn't prepare driver 'dr71wu'
ndiswrapper (load_wrap_driver:111): loadndiswrapper failed (65280); check system log for messages from 'loadndisdriver'
ndiswrapper: probe of 4-3:1.0 failed with error -22

Can any1 please correct me.

Already I did it.

For DWL-G122 rev. C1, I achieved to install in openSUSE 10.2 the native driver rt73 and to work it. When I have time I will indicate the steps.
