dsl on demand in suse 8.0, and installing dsl


I have sue 8.0 and would like to install dsl how could I do this and how do I activate my dsl on demand, I would really appreciate help with this. I have sbc dsl with the speedstream 5100 modem Also I need help getting my dns configuration right for my primary and secondary dns for my isp.

Suse 8.0?

How about you upgrade to 9.2 first, then complain if it doesnt work.

Is this your only system?


Check with your isp for requirements for login, linux distros have supported dsl using pppoe for many years now.

I think that if you could get a dsl router you would be connected with virtually any system.

Some newer modems may have problems if they are not supported by your kernel, and if drivers are not available for your kernel.


Just another option, I'm not saying you must have one.
