downloaded novell OS, extracted ISO and now trying to install

the disk seems to be in order. pc boots to Dr-Dos but I do not know where to go from here. I already found out that typing "setup" like one would enter when performing clean install with 'windows' does not work. what do I enter at the command prompt to get the ball rolling and start the installation? Im trying to install over Suse pro 9.3. going to put suse on the back burner due to configuration issues with wireless network adapter.
anyway, can someone please help? IM not familiar with linux or linux commands so please give simple instructions. THANKS!

yes, ive done that. pc boots to DR-DOS and apparently then i need to enter a command at the prompt like "setup" or something in order for the installation to initiate.

Did you make sure that your bios is configured to boot from cd? Nothing to convert as long as you have burned your dvd/cd as a dvd image (iso file).

yes i boot from cd first. pc is not booting to hard drive. it boots from cd and on that cd is the operating system along with DR-Dos. i cant get past dr-dos in order to start the install. when you perform a clean install with a windows cd, you boot to dos, type "setup", insert windows cd and hit "enter" and installation begins. my problem is getting DR-Dos copied onto the hard drive from the disk so that pc boots from hard drive so i can then install the OS. AT leasr i think this is the answer? But im not sure. are there any "linux for Dummies" books available?

1. Download the Iso Images from a server
2. Burn the Iso images under Windoze with Nero, CDXPBurnerPro, etc. as "Iso-Images"
3. Boot from the first CD or DVD. You can change the bootsequence in the mainboardbios.

I hope, that helps.
