Question Don't want to restart open applications from the tool bar

Suse 10.2/KDE

Hello all,

If I logoff my user id and there are open applications such as the OpenOffice word pressor, when I log back on the application continues and appears in the tool bar/panel at the bottom of the screen.

I would like to know how I could prevent this from happening?

If I log off I don't want any of the previously open applications to restart when I log back in.

I've checked the configuration but can't come up with an answer.

Any information in resolving this question will be appreciated.

Thanks.
