Does anybody still use MPlayer?
Does anybody still use MPlayer? If no, then what are you using? If yes, then how do you get it to work with SUSE 10.1?

For me, MPlayer still beats everything.
Try Guru's SMART package manager (comes with everything preconfigured and has an easy to use GUI): http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/rpm-...=/System/smart |
Thanks. That was going to be my next question. I have seen recently stuff about SMART and was going to give it a try. Now how do I get SMART on the PC. I guess, I will read some other posts on the subject.

I prefer kaffeine (Xine based). Mplayer is ok but since I use KDE, kaffeine integrates well with the rest of the desktop and plays everything that mplayer can play if you have the right codecs installed.

PS: For full KDE integration, you could also use kmplayer as a front for both mplayer and xine. |

For the rest of the other posts... I did see the thread on Xine but I don't like it. I have used it in the past but mplayer has a better interface. The only thing I do not have fixed is the plugin for firefox with mplayer. I am hopping that when I did the upgrade it fixed it. If not, I may be posting soon. Thanks for all your help. |
