Good evening Staff, including Redshirt, Fragos, and visitors,
After working with some OpenOffice, version 2.0 files (abbreviated OO,v2 in this thread) and using the pop-up menu option entitled: "always use this application when opening this file," I seem to have erroneously "TOLD" the OO,v2 application to attempt to open at least four types of FOLDERS as well as simple plain text files:
These folders include:
1. all newly-created Desktop folders and older Desktop folders containing files
2. the My Computer folder on Desktop;
3. ALL the My Computer-contained subfolders and
4. Network Browsing folder on Desktop.
This evening, 2 hours ago, all these folders opened by simply using ONE CLICK OF THE LEFT MOUSE BUTTON. But now this same action generates the "green horned gecko" icon of OO,v2 and a futile attempt to open a folder that it "thinks" is an OO,v2 file!
Please help me restore the original default, which allowed all folders to open and display their contents with a left mouse click, rather than automatically attempting the incorrect option of using OOv2.
