compiz fusion question

Ok, this was a problem in suse 10.2, but it's not as bad in 10.3. When mozilla is rendering a page and I decide to move the page around it can crash compiz fusion. However, it takes me to the login screen and I can login just fine after that. suse 10.2 just crashed and the login was messed up, which is why I'm glad that is fixed in 10.3. Is this a bug others are experiencing? If so, is there a solution? Also, after the latest update my kernel was upgraded to 2.6.22.9-0.4. I had to rmmod nvidia and then use the installer again. This worked great, but it annoys me that it boots into the old kernel by default. How do I change it to get to boot the latest kernel? I'd do the research myself, but South Park is on and I'm hoping someone knows offhand.
