Change the date format in the system tray clock

I am running SuSE 10.1 (SLED10 actually) using the Gnome desktop and I have a stupid little problem.

On most of my desktops the clock in the system tray is in the European Format 06 Jun (which is what I want since I am in Europe) but one workstation is in the American Format Jun 06.

I have checked all the regional. language and keyboard settings I can and all the systems are the same. Any idea what I am missing or where I should look?

Thanks
Bob

I use kde - so it might not be the same - but I just right-click on the date and pick the option to change the regional settings. Although it isn't until I re-start kde that it shows in the correct way.

Unfortunately Gnome doesn't have the same options. I changed the Language/Regional settings in the Gnome control panel back and forth, then restarted, but it didn't change anything.

But I'll keep that in mind if I use KDE.

Thanks
Bob
